I get asked all the time what it is I do in the Cemeteries and here’s a meme to quickly describe some of what I do here at As Above So Below.
Researching each and every one of my headstone projects and logging all the Veterans into our website at www.veterangraves.com with all the Before and After pictures and every piece of personal and military history along with any pictures I can find while researching.
Using Ancestry, BillionGraves, Family Research and any other Genealogical website I can find I spend hours digging through files and pictures to compile as complete as possible a background for whoever I’m Cleaning and/or Restoring.
I Clean and Restore Headstones and Monuments along with Markers when requested. Sometimes all it takes is a quick Cleanup, others require several cleanings and follow-ups. Restorations usually consist of repairing damaged and broken headstones and bases. Most have fell or been knocked over and broken into several pieces, unfortunately all to often they are then ran over again and again by mowers pushing them into the soil.
